Dwarf Tossing Leaves Little Person Paralyzed: Martin Henderson Demands Apology From Rugby Team

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/13/dwarf-paralyzed-after-bar-tossing_n_1204799.html

The reason I chose this article was because it really caught my attention. The title itself just sticks with you and draws you in. I actually like bizarre news, because it takes some light away from politics, war and fiscal drama, and shines it on the little guy. And in this case, I mean that literally.

This article really amazed me. I can't even fathom where one would come up with the idea to harm innocent people. Its news like this that actually gets a decent amount of attention because of the rarity of the situation. And cases like these make me wonder if people commit acts of stupidity for attention.

  1. This is a truly bizarre article. The Huffington Post is known for exaggerating their content in such a way that would catch a lot of peoples attention. Very interesting read but the grammar is a bit off in the article.

  2. I actually came upon this newstory from Peter Dinklage's Golden Globe speech! Nonetheless, I cannot understand how people can find entertainment in dwarf throwing. I have to say that these people are definitely committing these ludicrous acts for attention.

  3. I agree with both of you. This article was posted to gain attention. and as Javier said, it was probably committed for attention as well. I also agree that the grammar was incorrect in the article.

  4. That was an interesting read, I have never heard of the term "dwarf tossing" before and never knew such an action existed. I feel bad for the victim here.
